I value my client’s relationships and their experience with me. In order to provide a quality experience, processes must be in place. This helps ensure that we are on the same page, that communication is well managed and that you feel part of your project. Today I am sharing with you my process for working together so you can elevate your client’s designs so they can grow their business.
After you submit your inquiry form I review your information so that I can learn about you, your business and the project. In order for us to work together, it’s important that I understand your goals for your project. After reviewing your information I’ll send you a link to schedule your intro call. During our call, we get to know each other and address any questions and concerns. This is a great opportunity for you tell me more about your business and ask me questions!
Once we determine we are a fit to work together I will send you over a proposal, contract and invoice using my client management system Dubsado. Once the paperwork is completed and the invoice is paid I will then add you to my development calendar.
You will also receive a Welcome Packet with important information such as (office hours, how to use our project management system (Asana) and how to contact me, plus more). I will then set your project up in Asana where will manage communication.
In Asana you will see what is assigned to me and what will be assigned to you. This makes sure that we are both clear on each other’s responsibilities. Also in Asana, you will have files set up for you such as where to submit your design files.
The Development Process
Prior to the start of your project, all your content needs to be ready to go and uploaded. This ensures that I can begin working on the development of your design. Plus create your vision in a timely and strategic manner.
In WordPress, I will begin to develop your mockups on my development site, that way I can see how it will perform under true user conditions plus do testing. Also, this will allow me to share the link with you so you can interact and provide any necessary feedback. Communication is important so we will be interacting in Asana so that notes, files, and chats are kept in one place and easily accessible. Using email communication can easily get lost or placed out of order, so it’s important that we use a project management system.
Champagne or Coffee Launch!
I believe in a more personalized experience, when you partner with me as a designer, it will be a collaborative process. Once your project is complete, we will schedule a personalized video training. This will be the perfect opportunity to ask questions and get excited because your new site is ready to be shared with your client!
I also provide post-launch support via email to make sure things continue to run smoothly. I’ll often record a short video tutorial on how to implement changes and answer questions.
